We may collect information from you through your use of our website, when you request information from us or engage our legal or other services, or as a result of your relationship with one or more of our clients.  By using any of our services including our website and by providing us with any personal information, you are consenting to the use of your personal information as set out in this policy.  Please do not send us any personal information if you do not want your personal information to be used in this way. As professionals engaged in the provision of legal services to clients worldwide, Boga & Associates is committed to protecting the privacy of confidential and personal information, including personal data relating to individuals who may be clients, staff, agents, lawyers, job applicants or others inside or outside the Firm.

Information collected through our website
A number of facilities on our website invite you to provide us with personal information. The firm does not collect any personal data from visitors to its website or our users of Internet Services that is not voluntarily provided (Personal Information). The purpose of these facilities is apparent at the point that you provide your personal information and we only use your information for those purposes.

We use your personal information for the following purposes:

Consistent with our professional obligations, it has always been the policy of the firm to exercise the utmost discretion regarding the information our clients entrust to us. The firm accepts and processes client information always subject to the client’s direction and control, and the firm maintains reasonable and appropriate security precautions. We take reasonable steps to hold information securely in electronic or physical form.  Our information security policy is supported by a number of security standards, processes and procedures and we store information in access-controlled premises or in electronic databases requiring logins and passwords. We never trade, sell or share your information with any unrelated parties except as necessary or appropriate to conduct the firm’s legal and business activities, subject to appropriate confidentiality, privacy and information security commitments provided by the receiving party, or to further your interests or as permitted or required by law or as authorized or directed by you.

Transferring information when there is a change to our business
We do not disclose any Personal Information collected from the Internet Services to unrelated parties outside of the firm except in limited circumstances. Such circumstances include disclosures to our agents or data processors or other contractors acting on our behalf and at our direction, subject to appropriate confidentiality, privacy and information security commitments provided by the receiving party, or where we believe it necessary to provide a service which you have requested, or as permitted or required by law, or as otherwise authorized or directed by you. We may transfer your Personal Information to other offices of the firm for the purposes set out for use of Personal Information in this Privacy Statement. Such transfers may involve the transfer of your information between jurisdictions and outside of the jurisdiction in which you submitted your information.

Electronic communications
Information that you send to us in electronic form may not be secure and, unless you are already a client, will not be treated as privileged or confidential. We will take all reasonable steps to ensure that all personal information we hold is secure from any unauthorised access, misuse or disclosure.

Legal Requirements
While it is unlikely, we may be required to disclose your information to comply with legal or regulatory requirements. We will use reasonable endeavours to notify you before we do this, unless we are legally restricted from doing so. 

Your rights
Under applicable data protection legislation, we must ensure that your personal information is accurate and up to date. Therefore, please advise us of any changes to your information. You are entitled to request details of the information we hold about you and to have it rectified or deleted as required by applicable data protection legislation.
